About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with strong mechanical and process engineering expertise in power plant systems. The role focuses on water‑steam cycle engineering, steam turbine auxiliary systems, equipment sizing, and process documentation. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience working across engineering design, vendor coordination, and site execution in power or energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform process and mechanical engineering activities for power plant water‑steam cycle systems.
- Develop HMBDs and prepare P&IDs for systems such as:
- Steam system
- Steam turbine gland sealing system
- Lube oil and jacking oil systems
- Seal oil system
- Feedwater and condensate systems
- Vacuum system
- Steam turbine drain system
- Generator cooling system
- Carry out equipment sizing for:
- Feedwater pumps
- Condensate extraction pumps
- Water‑cooled and air‑cooled condensers
- Control valves
- Piping line sizing and pressure drop calculations
- Prepare technical specifications, conduct technical bid evaluations, and manage vendor drawing reviews.
- Develop Equipment General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Valve Lists, and Line Lists.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions with customers.
- Attend and support supplier acceptance tests (FAT) as required.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather engineering input.
- Apply international codes and standards in process design.
- Provide engineering support during erection and commissioning activities.
Required Skills & Tools
- Strong expertise in Power Plant Process Engineering and Water‑Steam Cycle systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Hands‑on experience with AVEVA Diagram and AVEVA Engineering
- Solid understanding of international engineering codes and standards
- Experience in P&ID development, equipment sizing, and vendor coordination
Preferred Skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross‑functional and virtual teams
- Strong conflict management and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
- Customer‑facing experience in technical reviews and discussions
🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 4–8 years of experience in the power or energy sector
