    We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Electrician for our power plant. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical equipment and systems in our state-of-the-art facility. The role requires a high level of technical expertise, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power plant operations, with specific expertise in Transmitters, Protective relay devices, SEL brand type breaker protection devices, operating devices, and DCS or PLC systems.

    Responsibilities:

    • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
    • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
    • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
    • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
    • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
    • Operate a variety of tools and equipment, including power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
    • Monitor the operation of electrical systems and equipment to ensure effective operation and to identify and resolve problems.
    • Maintain current knowledge of the latest methods, technology, and equipment in the field of electrical systems and equipment.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrician, specifically in a power plant environment.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Transmitters, Protective relay devices, SEL brand type breaker protection devices, operating devices, and DCS or PLC systems.
    • Strong knowledge of the principles, techniques, and safety precautions of the electrical trade.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Must hold a valid electrician's license.
    • Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
