**Position Specific Description**

**_Strong Internal Candidate under Consideratation_**

The Fleet Buried Piping Program owner is responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

+ Develops inspection scopes to satisfy industry and regulatory requirements.

+ Develops inspection budget and prepares/implements vendor contracts.

+ Initiates work requests to perform buried piping inspections, and assists planning as needed.

+ Ensures inspection activities are performed in accordance with programmatic requirements.

+ Maintains and updates asset management plans.

+ Utilizes and maintains the BP Works Database Software

+ Interfaces with stakeholders (NRC) during inspections

+ Provide budget input for long term budget planning

+ Performs contingency reviews and initiates contingency WOs as required.

+ Performs fitness for service evaluations

+ Owns and resolves condition reports related to the Buried Piping Program

**Job Overview**

This job is responsible for developing technical recommendations to support complex nuclear projects and operations. Employees in this role perform advanced engineering activity and analysis that lead to the development of innovative concepts. Individuals participate in the development of new solutions involves the study of engineering principles, selection of areas for investigation, working through opportunities within scope, and communicating research findings. The successful candidate is responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**

+ Works independently to perform engineering tasks with little or no precedence

+ Provides technical consultation to management

+ Applies nuclear industry standards and regulations to solve new problems and address situations

+ Manages project teams toward solutions using leadership prowess, problem solving, and conflict resolution techniques

+ Represents supervisor interests and serves in a backup capacity when necessary

+ Serves as technical liaison within and outside business unit

+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned

**Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s – Engineering

+ Experience: 12+ years

+ Nuclear Experience: 8+ years

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Master’s – Engineering

+ Certified Professional Engineer (PE)

**Special Requirements**

Nuclear Specific Requirements:

+ Engineering or related experience: 12+ years
