**Position Specific Description**

Our Integrated Supply Chain – Technical Services Department is looking for an Engineer II to join the Corporate Procurement Engineering and Dedication (CPED) facility in West Palm Beach, Florida. This position performs extensive engineering analysis for technical decisions to support business unit objectives. Performs engineering, root cause analysis, develop associated cost-effective countermeasures, and provide expert advice for system malfunctions affecting the ability of business unit assets to meet their objectives. Assures designs meet regulatory codes and operability, reliability, and cost targets. Develops scope, design criteria, perform complex data collection, and engineering analysis/design for completion of large projects. Develops procedures for testing major components. Provides work directions to subordinate engineers and technicians. Develops short- and long-term resource allocation plans.

**Key responsibilities include:**

• Developing new repair processes and procedures for Solar inverters and various other electronic equipment across the Solar fleet.

• Developing and maintaining custom test equipment and fixtures to allow for diagnostics and performance testing of all repairs.

• Acquiring knowledge and developing subject matter expertise on assorted Solar inverters.

• Performing failure analysis and root cause analysis as requested or required.

• Providing reports, presentations, and recommendations to engineers and management across multiple business units.

• Maintaining communications and collaboration between ISC Technical Services and the PGD Solar Engineering and Operations teams.

• Perform responsibilities with supervisory oversight

**Specific Requirements**

• Preferred prior experience with Solar inverters (GE, Siemens, ABB, Schneider, SMA, etc)

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong technical and project management skills

**Job Overview**

This job performs activities in support of engineering operations and project completion. Employees in this role conduct engineering root cause analysis and develop cost effective countermeasures. Individuals also perform engineering fundamental activities to support operations.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**

+ Performs engineering/analytical tasks to develop reliable, cost effective recommendations

+ Uses advanced computer models to develop and study solution feasibility

+ Prepares engineering documentation and assists with technical support for licensing and other regulatory proceedings

+ Ensures procured materials and services meet engineering specifications

+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned

**Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s – Engineering

+ Experience: 2+ years

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
