**Position Specific Description**
This job provides leadership and direction to multiple Agile teams, serving as an expert in multiple Agile frameworks including Scrum, SAFe and Kanban. Leaders in this job embrace and display servant leadership behaviors that come with the key mindset shifts associated with being Agile and facilitate to help teams become self-managing and high-performing.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
+ Facilitates collaboration for both internal and external teams, resolving conflict, removing impediments, and reducing external dependencies Coaches’ teams to build alignment with department and business unit best practices
+ Assists teams, as appropriate, to organize and facilitate planning meetings, retrospectives, and portfolio reviews Identifies training needs and works to facilitate or provide resources to expand employee skills Assists teams with creation of artifacts (dashboards, powerpoint slides etc.) that will be shared with stakeholders, employees and leadership to ensure metrics and measures are used appropriately to tell a team’s story as it aligns with business objectives Help teams to problem solve identified impediments and escalate where needed Participate actively in IT Business Unit’s Agile Transformation governance team, supporting agile mastery across the business unit through the development of guidance, goals, training and events.
+ Embraces servant leadership and displays behaviors that come with the key mindset shifts associated with being Agile Keeps informed and educated about industry trends concerning Agile methodologies Builds strong relationships with Nuclear Product Owners to ensure teams are well supported and have a strong strategic direction This role also is actively involved in overall leadership for the IT Nuclear department through:
+ Coordination of activities to prepare capital budget requests, working with team members to capture detail about requests and prepare it for executive review
+ Representing IT Nuclear on Diversity & Inclusion committees and helping our staff to expand diverse mindset Leading programs that have cross-functional impacts
+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned
+ 4+ years Agile experience in a variety of frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban); certifications preferred Experience with Atlassian Jira
+ Ability to coach/lead multiple teams
+ Communication and good listening power
+ Coaching and facilitation techniques Flexibility and persistence
This position guides teams in the execution of agile initiatives to deliver customer value. Employees in this role train and coach in the use of Scrum, Lean, Kanban, XP, and scale agile framework practices.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Trains and coaches leaders, teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindset
+ Contributes in Communities of Practice (CoP), within the agile network
+ Promotes and encourages collaboration and transparency and builds trusting relationships between business, delivery, and other entities within the organization
+ Facilitates periodic synchronization meetings across several different onsite and distributed delivery teams
+ Prepares program and release backlogs, as well as team and program objectives
+ Tracks, promotes, and publishes completed program features and program and team objectives
+ Manages risk and dependencies, communicates and escalates impediments to facilitate transparency, and reduces bottlenecks
+ Embraces a continuous improvement mindset, and drives the use of agile engineering best practices and innovation
+ Reports on standardized program-level metrics, and understands, tracks, and operates within the program budget
+ Plays an instrumental role in the organization’s Agile transformation, acts as a change agent, and shows strong leadership skills with a positive and collaborative attitude
+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned
