**Position Specific Description**

This position is responsible for implementing the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process to conduct a variety of training activities to support accredited and non-accredited training programs. Responsibilities also include monitoring and evaluating trainee performance to support station performance goals.

Maintain the SAT procedures in accordance with management and industry expectations. Monitor SAT implementation and advise personnel on the application of SAT to insure the integrity of the training processes.

Provide initial and continuing training in classroom and laboratory environments. Respond to emergent training needs and performance issues.

Conduct needs assessment of training request for management and training program owners. Provide training expertise during analysis of performance issues. Evaluate tasks to determine the standards for performance. Establish measurable effectiveness measures for training activities.

Design training activities that support training analysis and needs assessment results. Maintain the Instructor Certification Training Program Task-to-training matrix program content. Maintain short range and long range training schedules.

Develop/revise lesson plans, practical exercises, and multimedia training materials for effective delivery to personnel. Develop and administer exams to validate mastery of learning objectives.

Analyze training feedback from numerous sources including trainees, management, and industry. Participate in various training committees to ensure training effectiveness.

Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) Schedule and track training activities. Maintain instructor qualification records.

**Job Overview**

This job develops and implements fleet and site continuous improvement programs. Employees in this role work to develop corrective actions in processes associated with operations, human operator performance, and concerns stemming from site self-assessment. Individuals develop performance indicators and follow-up on problems they identify.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**

+ Leads or participates in assessments to find and improve performance gaps

+ Coordinates and facilitates procedure development, revision, and review

+ Participates in root cause investigations related to corrective action and human performance errors

+ Develops tracking and evaluating indicators

+ Trains colleagues on performance improvement initiatives

+ Facilitates screening of corrective actions

+ Assists with the planning and implementation of self-assessments

+ Collects and analyzes data to evaluate proper implementation and effectiveness of programs and maintains industry and site performance indicators

+ Prepares reports and communicates status of improvements for management

+ Ensures operating experience is screened and evaluated and corrective actions taken to address opportunities identified

+ May provide technical direction to less experienced performance coordinators

+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned

**Required Qualifications**

+ High School Grad / GED

+ Experience: 6+ years

+ Nuclear Experience: 7+ years

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s – Engineering

+ Bachelor’s – Sciences

+ Master’s – Engineering

+ Senior Reactor Operator Certification

+ SRO License – Active, Inactive, or Prior

Nuclear Specific Requirements:

+ Meets all minimum requirements for a Performance Analyst I

+ Nuclear performance assessment experience: 7+ years with 5+ years of performance assessment exempt level experience
