**Position Specific Description**

The Site Technical Services group is the first responder to emergent plant issues that are beyond the capabilities of Operations and/or Maintenance to resolve. This position will lead complex troubleshooting, provide field support for the Failure Investigation Process, support emergent on-line and refueling outage work, resolve work week Engineering holds which may include development of parts equivalencies, small scope design change packages, and 10 CFR 50.59 /72.48 screenings, operability assessments or functionality determinations, and resolution of corrective actions. This position may be required to perform duties outside of normal business hours to support unit outages, emergent equipment issues or provide on-call support.

This position requires prior experience in the instrumentation and controls discipline and preferred experience with transmitters, scaling, tuning, primary and secondary control systems, reactor protection and engineered safeguards systems, nuclear instrumentation, radiation monitoring, instrumentation design and analysis including instrumentation uncertainty. Required qualifications or ability to obtain within two months include, design change, temporary modifications, digital design, design verification, calculations, 10 CFR 50.59/72.48, operability determination/functionality assessment, and cyber security assessor.

**Job Overview**

Provide technical expertise in support of nuclear plants. Perform advanced engineering tasks or other special projects requiring original concepts and a high level of experience and expertise necessary for the operation of the nuclear units. Work independently, perform engineering tasks with little or no precedence, and act as a consultant to supervision. Apply nuclear industry standards and regulations for new situations. Use management skills to facilitate team action for problem solving including conflict resolution to assure progress. Provide backup for supervision. Travel to support Fleet objectives and act as a member of the emergency response organization may be part of the requirements of this position.

This position is represented by Local 2150 IBEW.

**Required Qualification**

+ Bachelor of Science in Engineering

+ A minimum of Twelve (12) years of experience in the nuclear power industry is required.

+ Candidates must satisfy all Company and Nuclear Regulatory Commission security requirements.

**Preferred Qualification**

+ Professional Engineering license or ability to obtain license desired.
