**Position Specific Description**

This position is for an Engineering training instructor. This instructor must work with the Engineering line organization in support of training needs and development of training. The instructor must be capable of learning and understanding various engineering topics and technical material, have good writing and speaking skills, and deliver training in front of a class of students.

**Job Overview**

Deliver training courses that comply with applicable regulatory requirements to train plant and other employees in specialties such as Engineering, Health Physics, Chemistry, Maintenance (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Control, etc.) or other disciplines/areas as assigned. Participate in the design and development of discipline specific training in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements. Develop, maintain, improve and deliver training courses, supporting materials and evaluations using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT). Revise instructional materials to reflect changes in plant design, current plant practices, regulations, and/or operating philosophies. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Conducts training courses that comply with applicable Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requirements to train plant and other employees in specialties such as Health Physics, Chemistry, Maintenance (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Control, etc), Engineering or other disciplines/areas (General Employee, Radworker Training, FLS, etc.) . Develop, maintains, improves and delivers training courses. Utilizes applicable tools, equipment and instructional techniques. Performs duties with appropriate guidance from supervisor or more experienced instructors. Develop course materials and instructional aids to support lesson plans. Participates in all phases of training system development process and related analyses. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

This position is represented by IBEW Local 2150.

**Required Qualification**

+ Bachelors degree in a technical field (e.g., Math, Physical Sciences specialty, Engineering) or equivalent education and/or experience. In the absence of a Bachelor’s degree, high school diploma/GED is required.

+ Three (3+) or more years of experience in industrial training or related technical or specialty training or equivalent experience in assigned functional area within a nuclear plant such as Operations, Maintenance, Radiation Protection, or other nuclear related work.

+ Complete instructor certification requirements.

+ Candidates must satisfy all Company and Nuclear Regulatory Commission security requirements.

+ Travel to support company objectives and act as a member of the Emergency Response Organization will be part of the requirements of this position.

**Preferred Qualification**

+ Instructor certification preferred.
