**Position Specific Description**

NextEra Energy Resources is one of the largest wholesale generators of electric power and renewable energy from the wind and sun in Position Specific Description Job Overview This position is responsible for the completion of substantial projects that support nuclear objectives. Employees in this role lead projects functional interaction, direction, scope, and timeframe. Individuals maintain project momentum, report completion status, and control cost!


Leads Nuclear Plant Steam Turbine Projects independently to ensure completion in accordance with schedule date Develops project plans such that stakeholders and contributors understand their assignments, coordinates with vendor partners to ensure resources are levelized and used efficiently, ensures that work performance flows without bottlenecks and gaps, innovates solutions to problems that arise from changing project circumstances and calculates costs and controls expenses to budget.

Interacts frequently with both on-site customers and vendor partners, participates and leads turbine related preparation project meetings, addresses turbine related corrective actions to prevent recurrence items, participates in both near term and long range turbine outage scoping and scheduling, develops and reviews turbine related outage work plans, reviews and is the expert on vendor scope of work contractual documents, ensures adequacy and availability of parts needs, uses historical and current turbine operating experience to minimize risk, submits outage scope additions and removals as necessary, develops turbine related contingency plans, reviews clearance orders, develops field action monitoring plans, and participates in outage horizontal and vertical schedule reviews.

Participates and leads safety briefings, review/approves; vendor work plans, FME & HU plans, and equipment laydown plans, and coordinates security and training support for vendor partner access to the specific nuclear site.

Employees in this role may lead or support projects that vary with regard to resource requirements, functional interaction, direction, scope, and timeframe. Individuals maintain project momentum, surface problems and recommendations, report completion status, and control costs to budget.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**

+ Leads projects to ensure completion by schedule date

+ Creates plans, cost analysis, schedules, estimations, and reports to communicate project deliverables and status of completion

+ Coordinates engineering, construction and other functional resources to complete project objectives

+ Leads and coaches schedulers, cost engineers and estimators regarding project significance

+ Manages all site-related project controls and systems to support project development tasks

+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned

**Required Qualifications**

+ High School Grad / GED

+ Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience

+ Experience: 10+ years

+ Supervisor/Management Experience: 5+ years

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s Degree

+ Bachelor’s – Sciences

+ Bachelor’s – Engineering

+ Nuclear Experience: 5+ years

+ Project Management Professional (PMP)

**Special Requirements**

Nuclear Specific Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business, or technical discipline and 5+ years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction in either the nuclear or fossil industry

+ In absence of degree: 10+ years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction in either the nuclear or fossil industry

+ Experience with estimating systems
