**Position Specific Description**

This position performs a variety of engineering tasks that require extensive analysis and evaluation of components utilized across our enterprise. This position also includes responsibilities for technical decisions associated with projects to support the ISC business plan. This position performs general procurement engineering functions and may have a special emphasis on commercial grade dedication, reverse engineering (RE) of components, analysis of circuit boards, electronic/circuit card repairs, Item Equivalency Evaluations (IEE) or seismic testing.

This position is located at the Corporate Procurement Engineering and Dedication (CPED) facility in West Palm Beach.

**Candidates must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to be considered**

**Some of the responsibilities for our plant internships are listed below:**

Key responsibilities may include

+ Preparing procurement engineering evaluations for commercial grade dedication

+ Preparing procurement engineering evaluations for reverse engineering

+ Providing engineering support to electronic/circuit card repairs

+ Item Equivalency evaluations

+ Preparing procurement engineering evaluations for seismic testing

+ Establishing a safety basis and design test plans for nuclear components

+ Understanding procurement concepts and techniques and ensuring that all materials and services are procured in accordance with the design basis for the plant and that they meet all technical and quality requirements

**Desired Qualifications:**

+ Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an undergraduate Technical/Science program OR Master’s program in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, or a related field.

+ Familiar with regression and classification techniques (RF, SVM, LR, time-series models, etc)

+ Proficient in statistical analysis packages (R, Python, STRATA or Matlab)

+ Experience and Skills with MS Applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

+ Proficiency in Java, Scala, SQL, or other programming languages.

+ Knowledge of data storage technologies and modeling

+ Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

+ Completes challenging projects and assignments

+ Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship

+ Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program

+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned
