Job Description 

As a Data Analyst, you will be a key player in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effective utilization of our data assets. The Data Analyst will report to the Data Quality Governance Lead.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a data catalog to ensure that key data assets are accurately described and easily discoverable
  • Investigate the root cause of data anomalies and discrepancies and present findings to Data Quality Governance Lead, and additional key technology and business stakeholders
  • Document business requirements to determine how anomalies should be managed
  • Review records in our master data management and data quality platforms for accuracy, consistency, validity, and uniqueness
  • Perform data monitoring and data quality profiling to ensure compliance with established data quality policies and standards

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data science, statistics, and/or related fields or comparable experience and education is required. 
  • Ability to work autonomously and navigate ambiguity
  • Comfortable working as part of a global team and partnering with remote team members
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinker, capable of asking relevant questions to improve processes while staying within the scope of the business opportunity we are trying to realize 
  • A strong sense of governance protocols, the need to respect highly sensitive data and proactive attention to regulatory, security and compliance driven policies
  • Experience building flowcharts, using tools such as LucidChart or Microsoft Visio
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or Domo
  • An understanding of both relational databases and graph database, including basic database concepts
  • Strong skills in SQL, logical/conceptual data modeling and analysis
  • Proficient with Git
  • Experience with agile engineering practices
  • Knowledge of how to determine business data requirements, and create data standards and business rules

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Master Data Management Platforms (e.g. Reltio MDM, Informatica MDM, Ataccama)
  • Experience working with Data Quality and Data Profiling Platforms (e.g. Informatica IDQ, Ataccama,)
  • Experience working with Python
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data management, data quality, or data governance
  • Experience with data governance principles, related best practices, and data management standards or practices

 

The Types of Tools You Could Work With

  • Master Data Management: Reltio, Informatica, Atacamma, Profisee or similar
  • Data Quality Tools: Informatica, Ataccama, Alteryx, or similar tools
  • Data Lake/Warehouse: Snowflake, S3, Redshift, MS SQL Server, or similar
  • ETL/ELT: dbt, Matillion, MS SQL Server SSIS, or similar
  • Data Integration: Workato, EventBridge, AWS Glue or similar
  • CRM/CDH: Salesforce, Zendesk, Monday.com, or similar
  • BI: Domo, Tableau, Power BI, or similar

  • 100% remote
