Job Description

This key role will own two related, but distinct, marketing functions. On the pricing side, it will be focused on implementing retail pricing strategies and managing the pricing process for our consumer clean energy services. On the analytics front, this role will be focused on improving our data-driven approach to marketing through advanced analytics and robust reporting.

We are looking for someone who is highly analytical, constantly looking for ways to improve data-driven decision-making and processes, and can operate effectively across different departments and functions. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing pricing strategies, implementing pricing changes, improving our current monthly pricing process and designing our future state. You’ll also partner with BI/DS to build out our data, reporting and analytics capabilities to help the sales and marketing teams manage performance and drive growth.

Responsibilities

Pricing

  • Optimizing pricing strategies to drive customer acquisition and retention, balancing growth goals and profitability
  • Manage the retail pricing process, including: receiving pricing requests, effectuating monthly updates to fixed and variable pricing, plan creation and retirement, implementing pricing changes in coordination with Tech, merchandising of rates, pricing and offers across channels
  • Conduct pricing analysis for both fixed and variable portfolios to help define pricing strategy and rate management
  • Produce management reporting to share out performance with leadership team
  • Partner closely with Wholesale and Finance on input costs (energy, RECs, etc)
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing colleagues (channel managers, lifecycle marketing) to support marketing campaigns and sales efforts

Marketing Analytics

  • Analyze the performance of customer acquisition and retention programs, across multiple channels, including but not limited to digital (search, social, email, display/video advertising), online and offline partnerships, direct mail, and sales (indirect, in-person, call center)
  • Create, update and maintain various monthly reporting packages and dashboards for marketing and business leadership
  • Lead several initiatives including customer acquisition cost optimization, attribution and media mix modeling, audience segmentation, and retention reporting
  • Work with business leaders to define and scope reporting needs and translate the reporting needs into dataset requirements
  • Develop data-driven insights to drive innovation and strategic decision making
  • Present findings and insights to business stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 8+ years experience managing advanced analytics and/or pricing functions
  • Degree in business, marketing, economics, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience working with various marketing data sources in an analytical data environment (Google Analytics, Facebook, Segment, Braze, Salesforce)
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing KPIs and measurement, and pricing strategies and concepts
  • SQL experience required
  • Experience using DOMO (or similar reporting platform)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with marketers, finance/wholesale, business intelligence analysts, and data engineers
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complexity
  • Energy experience is a bonus, but not required
