Role Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is goal driven, who enjoys working with people, and who can help achieve aggressive sales objectives. We require an organized, self-motivated individual that can contact and develop customer accounts while working within a team environment. The Inside Sales position will be the front line of the company’s sales efforts for specific customers and/or regions. The position will be based in the Melrose Park, IL office location with minimal travel. 

In this role there will be a specific revenue budget assigned to the position as an annual revenue goal each year. In addition to sales revenue, the position will be evaluated based on the number of prospects contacted and the quality of those contracts. There will be measured KPIs that are regularly shared and reviewed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to develop your own accounts through outbound customer target phone calls.
  • Determine the parts needs for both new (prospects) and ongoing customer accounts.
  • Deliver over-the-phone product descriptions that effectively communicate the value and capability of our precision machining operations.
  • Provide input to proposal process on customer preferences.
  • Communicate and follow up with active customers to ensure orders are processed in an accurate and timely manner.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to work within Microsoft Office applications – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office.
  • Ability to work within company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Excellent communicator, i.e., effective listener
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Disciplined with excellent time management skills


Education & Experience

  • A minimum of two years of direct inside sales experience within a business-to-business setting is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Engineering is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience communicating with existing customers and contacting potential customers by phone, electronic communication, and mail.
