Currently, our Labour Relations Division has opportunities for Labour Relations Specialist positions at our site in Tiverton Ontario.  The current opportunities are temporary fixed term contract positions with the possibility of becoming permanent positions based on candidate experience, performance and work program needs.

What will you be responsible for?

• Leadership in the day-to-day labour relations interfaces with management, unions, and vendor partners
• Effectively administering and interpretating multiple collective agreements, policies, arbitration awards, settlements and changes in legislation
• Ownership of disputes in our internal and external dispute resolution processes
• Actively participate in the collective bargaining process
• Continuously review and update LR strategies, policies, and programs
• Participate in the development and delivery of training and guidance for leaders
• Administration and analysis of forecasting, metrics, and reporting

The ideal candidate is someone with the ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and simultaneous demands. The successful candidate would ideally possess collective bargaining experience, familiarity with the commercial processes and experience working with inhouse unions, building trade unions, and construction vendors. Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills are crucial to this role.

Work location is our site in Tiverton, Ontario (no remote work).
