Job Summary and Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities will include onsite and remote deskside technical support, asset management, and deployments (e.g., radios, phones, computers and peripherals).

  • Provides hands-on and remote hardware and software support

  • Responds to problem resolution requests as specified by the priority definitions within Service Level Agreements

  • Utilizes troubleshooting skills to facilitate problem resolution

  • Repetitively updates communications equipment on-site

  • Maintains accurate asset inventory

  • Completes hardware and software audits

  • Ensures compliance of all software and hardware usage

  • Installing, supporting, and repairing computer hardware and software.

  • Conducting and maintaining an asset inventory of hardware and software.

  • Exposure to Cloud Application configuration and troubleshooting such as OneDrive and Microsoft Office.

Basic/Required Qualifications:

  • Cumulative GPA of at least 2.75

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering

Desired Qualifications:

  • Exposure to or familiarity with deskside/technical support and asset management

  • Willingness and desire to rotate to, as well as an ability to excel in, a variety of diverse roles

  • Professional, effective written and verbal communication skills, plus organizational ability

  • Leadership potential displayed through extracurricular involvement

  • Previous IT or Engineering internship, co-op, or work experience

  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

  • Community service and volunteer experience

  • Self-driven, motivated, and proactive

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Valid Driver’s license

Working Conditions:

  • Start date is 5/20/2024

  • Internship Summer Session length is 10-12 weeks

  • Mobility Classification: Onsite Mobility Classification – Work will be performed at a company facility

  • The work location for this position is 9700 David Taylor Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28262
