POSITION SUMMARY

Marathon Petroleum Company, LP the largest petroleum refining and marketing corporation in the United States, has an immediate opening for Refinery Maintenance Foreman – Routine Maintenance (RM) Scaffold at its Catlettsburg, Kentucky refinery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The RM Scaffold foreman is responsible for overseeing the execution of Routine Maintenance scaffold work and managing the RM scaffold contractor(s). The Scaffold foreman will also be responsible for other soft craft execution at times (i.e. painting). This entails managing contractor manpower, setting priorities to complete scheduled work and responsibility for the safety and compliance with all standards and specifications for this work. The RM Scaffold foreman reports to the RM Execution Supervisor.

RM Scaffold Foreman Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and assign the field work for the RM scaffold needs per the weekly schedule.
  • Serve as the contract steward for the RM scaffold contractor(s). This includes overseeing assigned work, setting/managing priorities and responsibility for the safety and compliance with all standards and specifications for this work.
  • Coordinate closely with the RM planners and area Operations-Maintenance Specialists (OMS) to manage shifting priorities, break-in work and ensure the successful completion of the RM scaffold work.
  • Review future week schedules with the Planner and area OMS to agree that the work can be completed as planned.
  • Provide daily schedule progress updates to the planner and OMS, including all contract maintenance work taking place in the area of responsibility.
  • Verify equipment status for planned work, before job has been assigned to the maintenance craft or contract maintenance personnel.
  • Conduct field review of planned jobs prior to jobs being scheduled and verify that work can be completed as planned. In addition, perform periodic post job audits with the operations foreman and planner to identify areas of improvement on both planning and execution.
  • Complete time confirmations and barrier documentation as part of work order closeout in SAP.
  • Provide feedback to RM planners on Planned vs. Actual hours of scaffold builds and demos.
  • Keep up with and understand all standards and specifications related to field construction and scaffold.
  • Review daily Track charges (timesheets) for contractors within the area of responsibility.
  • Maintain shops and maintenance areas to minimize audit findings as well as correct audit findings in a timely basis.
  • Follow up on safety items generated through the safety walks and audits and implement corrections as warranted.
  • Backfill for and collaborate with the other RM maintenance foremen as necessary.
  • Respond as necessary to unplanned maintenance scopes related to Routine Maintenance.
  • Be a safety leader.
  • Follow all policies and procedures and leads by example.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School degree or GED required. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)
  • Minimum 2 years maintenance experience in an industrial setting required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • SAP, Track, RED, APM (GE Asset Performance Management), Intelex experience preferred.
