The Sustainability and Philanthropy Intern will work with the ESG and Sustainability Team and the Duke Energy Foundation.

• The ESG and Sustainability team assists the Company in reviewing and advising on the internal controls for the reporting of certain ESG matters and leads Company efforts to voluntarily disclose information on climate & resiliency, social impact and governance & integrity; supports engagement with shareholders on issues related to ESG topics. In addition, they assist with evolving forward and focusing on sustainability issues that are most relevant to our business and stakeholders, and where we have the best opportunity to make the biggest impact.

• The Duke Energy Foundation powers the vitality of our communities through philanthropy focused on vibrant economies; climate resiliency; and justice, equity, and inclusion.

Basic/Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's in Business, Communications, or Public Relations

• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher

Desired Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher

Working Conditions

• Hybrid work environment

• 40 hour work week
