Job description & requirements

This position entails conducting field investigations and assisting the project team in evaluation and reporting field investigation results under the direction of a senior professional.

Duties include:

  • Supporting preparation of technical documents, including quality assurance project plans, monitoring/sampling plans, health and safety plans, field records, and regulatory reports
  • Performing assignments requiring application of standardized techniques procedures and criteria
  • Performing field observations and sampling of environmental media (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, sediment, etc.)
  • Compiling and evaluating technical data and coordinating with laboratories
  • Managing environmental data and databases
  • Communicating with subcontractors and other staff
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field; Master's degree a plus 0 to 2 years of experience
  • Experience with data management, review, and analysis
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and as part of a team
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWWOPER certification a plus
  • Valid driver's license and clear driving record
  • Ability to travel
