Job Summary Assist and coordinate with Transmission Field Services (TFS) management and field personnel with the interpretation and development of safe work methods and procedures, the implementation of best practices, the development of improved work methods, improved work management systems, the utilization of technology, the development of streamlined documentation and reporting, the development of IT systems that will assist TFS, the identification of appropriate refresher training and new equipment training; and, assist with the facilitation of inter-region and inter-company information sharing meetings. The successful candidate for the TFS Coordinator position will work with TFS Station, Protection & Control and Transmission Line personnel on FAC-008. After training, they will be expected to assist with FAC-008 asset verification efforts. The TFS Coordinator will work with TFS and Engineering on FAC-008 processes and the associated process documentation. The TFS Coordinator will be responsible for development and analysis of FAC-008 controls and metrics. The TFS Coordinator will work directly with TFS personnel when a possible FAC-008 issue is discovered. The TFS Coordinator will also be involved with the review of TFS non-specific or emerging work for impact to FAC-008. The TFS Coordinator will ensure that Field Marked Prints are submitted and that changes are reviewed and incorporated in production prints that will be utilized in the next project. The job tasks listed below are template items. The successful candidate will be performing a variety of tasks associated with FAC-008. Job Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   1.) Review work practices for consistency and recommend the integration of uniform work practices and work procedures across Transmission field services. 2.) Coordinate area work plan development and administration. 3.) Participate in and facilitate inter-region and inter-company meetings to share ideas and develop uniform policies and procedures. 4.) Investigate the use of new tools and equipment that can enhance productivity and improve existing work methods and recommend their implementation. 5.) Develop refresher training and new equipment training with TFS personnel, asset management personnel, engineering personnel and new equipment manufacturers. 6.) Continuously work to improve and streamline data collection systems. 7.) Coordinate the development of TFS IT programs and work with asset management and IT to recommend enhancements to existing programs. 8.) Develop, review, and present technical reports such as studies and analysis clearly, concisely, and effectively. 9.) Develop maintenance or construction plans by establishing measurable goals and objectives based upon maintenance and construction requirements. 10.) Develop knowledge to become a subject matter expert on Station, P&C, or Transmission Line issues. 11.) Apply and be proficient in the use of economic analysis techniques in problem solving. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: *The successful candidate must reside within the AEP service territory and be within driving distance of a transmission main office or service center. Education requirements are listed below: Associate degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related technical and 6 years' of utility experience OR high school diploma or GED and 10 years' of related utility experience. Work Experience requirement listed below: Utility experience would include Transmission or Distribution Line, Station or P&C experience; or maintenance and/or construction work/project scheduling or project controls experience. Technical experience is preferred.
